Lorenz Moser
Lorenz is a distinguished orthodontist with a long-standing career spanning over 35 years. He earned both his M.D. and D.D.S. degrees from the prestigious University of Innsbruck, where he also completed his postgraduate training in orthodontics. Since then, he has been dedicated to private practice in Bolzano, Italy, alongside his esteemed colleague, Ute Schneider-Moser. Lorenz is highly respected in the field, holding diplomate status with both the European Board of Orthodontists (E.B.O.) and the Italian Board of Orthodontists (I.B.O.). He's as an active member of the Angle Society of Europe (ASE) since 2001. He further served as the Secretary of the ASE from 2004 to 2006. In addition to his clinical practice, Lorenz has a strong commitment to education and mentorship. Since 2003, he has been a visiting professor at the University of Ferrara, Italy, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of orthodontists. His leadership skills were also demonstrated during his tenure as Chairman of the EBO Examination Committee from 2006 to 2008. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to orthodontics, Lorenz was honoured as an Honorary Member of the Accademia Italiana di Ortodonzia (AIdOr) in 2021.
Ute Schneider-Moser
Ute is a highly accomplished orthodontist with an impressive career spanning decades of clinical practice, academic contributions, and leadership in the field of orthodontics. After earning her DDS in 1985 from the University of Mainz, Germany, Ute established a private practice in Bolzano, Italy, in 1987, in partnership with Dr. Lorenz Moser. In 1990, Ute became an active member of the Società Italiana di Ortodonzia (SIDO). She earned her Diplomate status from the Italian Board of Orthodontists (IBO) in 1999, further solidifying her expertise. In 2010, she received a Specialty in Orthodontics from the University of Ferrara, Italy, and was honoured with the prestigious Brainerd F. Swain Award of Excellence by Angle East, EHASO, a recognition she later received again in 2023. Ute has also held several prominent leadership roles, including serving as President of the Accademia Italiana di Ortodonzia (AIdOr) in 2012, President of Angle East (EHASO) from 2019 to 2021, and President of SIDO in 2024. Her contributions to orthodontics have earned her additional prestigious awards, including the Harvey Peck Memorial Award in 2023, presented by Angle East, EHASO. As an educator, Ute has served as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Ferrara, Italy, since 2011, and since 2021, she has been an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. In addition to her clinical and academic endeavours, Ute has contributed to the orthodontic literature through publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in orthodontic textbooks. She is also a reviewer for respected journals such as the AJODO, the Angle Orthodontist, JERD, and JOMS. She serves on the Editorial Board of Seminars in Orthodontics.
Daniele Cantarella, DDS, MS, PhD
Daniele Cantarella is a distinguished orthodontist and academic with an extensive background in clinical research, digital orthodontics, and skeletal anchorage. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at AT Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, Phoenix, USA, and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Milan, Milan, Italy. He is also an active member of the Prof. Won Moon International Orthodontic Research Lab. Daniele earned his PhD in Clinical Research from the University of Milan, where his research focused on mini-invasive surgery to facilitate maxillary expansion using MARPE-MSE. His work has been recognized with the prestigious 2019 Award from the European Federation of Orthodontics (FEO) for the best research publication. Additionally, he completed advanced clinical training in Orthodontics and obtained a Master of Science in Oral Biology at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where his research examined the 3D skeletal effects induced in the midface by MSE and Hyrax appliances. Daniele's educational journey includes a two-year Orthodontic Program at Dr. Richard McLaughlin's office in San Diego, USA, a residency in Orthodontics at the University of Ferrara, Italy, and a Residency Program in Temporomandibular Disorders at the University of Padova, Italy. He graduated with full marks and Laude from the University of Padova, Italy, where he earned his dental degree. Daniele is an Author of several publications and reviewer for International Orthodontic Journals, speaker at numerous Orthodontic Associations, member of SIDO, AIDOR, WFO and E.H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, Component of Southern California, USA. He maintains a private practice in Orthodontics in Treviso, Venice area, Italy.
